Iman Ibrahim

Iman is an adventurous soul with passion for wisdom, beauty, deep connections, positive peace, and evolution. She was born in Egypt and raised there and the Middle East. She made Canada home over 25 years ago, and built a long track record in leadership and conflict resolution positions as well as the healing field. Most recently, Iman was the Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution until January 2019. Prior to that, Iman served full time at the University Ombudsperson Office, resolving conflicts, collaborating to set up the complaint handling system and procedural fairness processes, as well as offering a caring service for the staff and students.
Iman holds several degrees. These include a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Conflict Resolution, a 160 hour Third Party Neutral certificate for conflict resolution, a bachelor's degree in Humanities and Comparative Religion, a professional certificate in International Conflict Management, a certificate of Essentials for Ombuds from Osgoode Law School/ Forum of Canadian Ombudsman, a Certified Coach Practitioner certificate and a bachelor's degree in English Literature. She has been doing in depth research and practice in spirituality, soul evolution, and Hermetic principles, as well as offering spiritual energy readings, spiritual guidance, and services as a certified Practitioner in Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique by the Dolores Cannon Academy https://www.qhhtofficial.com/find-a-practitioner/ . She is always eager to learn more.
Iman has been actively working with several communities for many years. She managed projects related to peacebuilding, multiculturalism, and dialogue to support the integration of minorities, gender balance, and democratic values. She participated in various interfaith and spiritual dialogues since 2005 and is also a Committee co-Chair at the not-for-profit Global Alliance for Ministries and Infrastructures for Peace (GAMIP.org).
Iman authored several papers. In fall 2020, her chapter “Creative Dialogue between Muslim and Western Worlds Towards Reconciliation and Addressing Violent Extremism” was published as part of the book Transforming: Applying Spirituality, Emergent Creativity, and Reconciliation, edited by Vern Neufeld Redekop, and available at https://rowman.com/ISBN/9781498593120/Transforming-Applying-Spirituality-Emergent-Creativity-and-Reconciliation . She is presently working on publishing a chapter on “Reinventing Our Humanity and Reclaiming Our Freedom to Co-Create a New World.” Other papers cover themes such as nonviolent revolutions, police-crowd relations, and spirituality. In 2014, Iman was selected as one of four Canadians to participate in the International Leadership Program in six US states under the theme of Human Rights and Interfaith Dialogue. In 2019, Iman received “Canadian Women Making a Positive Difference Recognition Award.”
Iman is fluent in English, Arabic and has a functional level in French.
